Long Shot Living Room
The dark and heavy walnut paneling of this traditional living room is lightened by the application of a beautiful Clarence House floral linen print on two club chairs. A new window seat, repeating the rosette motif of the paneling, creates a cozy secondary seating area at the far end of the room.
Close up of Sofa
Unusually gold twig table with wood top from the Dennis & Leen with wood top reiterates the walnut paneling of the room. Spring green taffeta silk pillows punctuate the greens from the painting above the sofa, while the voluptuous bouquet of hydrangeas bring all the colors together.
Window Seat Area
A 24-caret gold tray table base, from Dessin Fornier, with hand-painted chinoisserie design graces the view from the window seat and is flanked by 2 wood-framed occasional chairs from Minton Spidell.
Small can be wonderful as is shown in this 10X12 study. The geometric design of the Stark rug has a huge impact on the space and unites the green mohair sofa and camel leather ottoman-table.
A special seating by the fireplace provides a warm spot for reading during the long New England winter.
The colors of beige, gold and cream provide a clean and neutral backdrop for this dramatic foyer.
A 60″ custom tole lantern from Dennis & Leen captures one’s attention in the vast space of the limestone foyer. The soft antique-style cream and brown oriental rug adds another layer of elegance.
The print hallway which had previously been merely a pass-through to the pool hallway is now a meaningful room itself.
The formerly beige and green family room was redesigned with a raspberry and camel color scheme. Against the backdrop of the bold Cowtan and Tout grass cloth wall covering, the new room is warm yet tailored and still kid-friendly.
The Colefax and Fowler linen print curtains of the kitchen look great in any of the four season’s of New England, fresh and crisp all year around.
